  • Project Manager of large LSC funded project working with local companies - expecially SME's.

  • Developing short course provision via Summer & Spring Universities.

  • Research & publication record in both WBL and English Studies.

  • My current interests are around working with employed learners and companies to deliver the learning they need and to establish how this can be funded in a sustainable way. I would be interested in networking with others about this.

  • Extensive experience in the practical development of widening participation initiatives for disadvantaged communities, including curricular design, development of existing curriculum and researching the needs of learners.

  • Currently working with parents/significant others in local schools to encourage an understanding of the learning process thereby increasing confidence in the abilities and skills that they posses.

  • Particular interest: Working with parents/significant others.

Expertise and Experience

  • Instructor of English - Language Skills on the pre-credit, developmental level. The student context is primarily one of EFL. Also credit-level Speech Communication.

  • Assessment and enhancment of curriculum and materials.

  • Relating academic classes with college programs and activities which support student development on a broad basis, i.e., time management, use of technology, career planning, and personal well being while pursuing a degree. Fostering college contact with the (US) National Association for Developmental Education.

  • Periodically engaged in Spanish language and culture classes and activities in the college's Upward Bound Program for
    college-bound high school students.

  • Interested in cross-cultural education, with experience in community service projects in Latin America and the Pacific.
