FSP Online Careers Guide The Financial Skills Partnership (FSP) has created a large range of multi-media resources specifically for use by careers advisers in Northern Ireland, including video case studies about working in finance, accountancy and financial services, qualification maps which show how to enter and progress a career in over twenty different careers options, job profiles which have been contextualised for careers in Northern Ireland, etc.

Learning and Skills Improvement Service The LSIS is the sector-owned body that aims to accelerate the drive for excellence in the learning and skills sector, building the sector’s own capacity to design, commission and deliver improvement and strategic change.
Tools, directories and guides to support practitioners in the provision of information, advice and guidance. This service was revised in 2010 to support careers advisers delivering the Next Step initiative. Managed by the Skills Funding Agency. Advice Resources website

The Higher Education Liaison Officers Association (HELOA) is the professional association of staff in higher education who work in the field of education liaison and provide guidance and information to prospective higher education students, their families and advisers.
Training and Development Agency for Schools The TDA is the national agency and recognised sector body responsible for the training and development of the school workforce.
The City and Guilds qualification NVQ in Advice and Guidance taking 6 to 24 months. An NVQ in Advice and Guidance is for anyone working in an organisation offering guidance services, for example a careers service, youth justice service or IAG partnership.
